Definitely one of the most common and annoying problem faced when owning a oven. Oven Power Trip can be divided into Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker(ELCB) or Main Circuit Breaker(MCB). Knowing which and why the reason why circuit breaker is tripping will be able to identify the problem more efficiently. Some technicians may resort to short cut by simply removing or rewire the earth/ground wiring. This is extremely dangerous! Read more!

Simple rules of thumb
Don’t neglect your oven – don’t use it only during festive season – Deepavali, CNY, Hari Raya, Christmas!
Keep your oven clean, excessive grease and oil will results in oven fire!
Check your oven connection. Make sure they are rated correctly (13A – 20A for built in oven)
If your oven is under the cooking hob, make sure is well silicone. So no liquid food/oil will be leaked onto and into your oven!

Very often we received enquiry about issues that is actually not an issue or anything critical. Some of the common issues we received
1. Oven is leaking hot air – Door seal is broken! Not Really! You may or may not notice most oven is equipped with a self fan cooling system. (Something like a car radiator) The hot air is dispel from the oven internal cooling fan.
2. Oven door misaligned. Door hinge is broken. Maybe Not! Oven door hinges are made form very strong (really strong) material. Most of the time is the oven hinge has been dislodged from the door housing. There are several videos on Youtube showing how to remove the oven door which i don’t thin is necessary to make another video on it.
3. Oven is not turning on or the knob is not responding. Usually is the oven knob (the plastic part) is broken, which is unable to latch firmly to the spindle.
4. My oven is burning! Most of the time (almost >90%) the excessive smoke, fumes, is caused by the leftover fatty food. Give your oven a good clean it will solve the issue.
The cost of repairing your oven largely depends on the type of oven (commercial/domestic/tabletop), the problem and the replacement parts.

My oven tripped, not the 1st time but the 3rd times. Up set with the company that I bought the oven from, decided to contact James.

James went above and beyond with his service. My oven was giving me lots of problems and trips. He recommended to repair. Came down, inspected and repaired. Worked for a while and it tripped! He replaced w 2 2nd ovens as he felt it wasn’t worthwhile to replace motherboard. After all the hassle, he said he will only charge me the 2nd hand oven cost.

James is fast and professional. I texted him on Sat and the issue was fixed on Monday. He was able to find the root cause very quickly and explain it in layman terms. I also like that he does not make me spend unnecessary money to replace parts that I won’t be using but is causing the power trip, he helped to rewire and bypass the part that was causing the trip. My ceiling fan stopped working suddenly and I was trying to source help. One electrician replacing with a new one since it’s more than 10 years old. Thankful I chance upon James’s contact and gave him a call. Was asked to What’s app a picture of my fan for him to identify. He responded very quickly and appointment was made the following day.
