What Causes Fridge Door Condensation?

Number one culprit is the fridge door – While your fridge compressor is trying very hard to keep your fridge cold, on the other hand the fridge door is letting in warm air into the fridge. That resulted in excessive condensation.

During the cooling cycle (when the fridge is working the hardest) the cooling cycle will cause the condensation to form icicle (see image below).

Another cause for Fridge Excessive condensation can be caused by prolong defrosting cycle. Every fridge will go though 1 – 3 defrosting cycle a day. A faulty defrosting timer may result in excessive condensation in the fridge.
