- Under heating or not hot enough
If you experiencing your oven is under heating or overheating. The culprit and root cause can be the oven heating element due to wear and tear. Or more often is the heating control unit such as thermostat and controller board that is not functioning well that is not sensing the right temperature. That usually require parts replacement.
- Over Heating >300C
Oven heating can happened when the oven thermostat is damaged accidentally while cleaning or when removing the grill or tray in the oven. Thermal sensor can be digital or analogue. Digital Sensor can be recalibrated by updating firmware.
Thermostat primarily function is to regulate and control the temperature to ensure the power is cut-off when the desire temperature is reached. One important tip is to monitor the heating indicator on your oven. If the light fails to go off. most likely you have a faulty heating sensor or thermostat that need to be replaced.
